The dried powdered roots of Arctium lappa, A. minus or A. tomentosum, as well as of related species, their hybrids or mixtures of these.  Burdock Root contains vitamins B complex and E. In addition, it boasts trace minerals of potassium, phosphorous, chromium, cobalt, iron, magnesium, silicon, zinc and sodium.

Uses: Burdock Root has been used in cosmetic products to increase circulation to the skin, helping to detoxify the epidermal tissues. It has also been traditionally used in hair care products and products for the treatment of acne, and other scaly skin disorders. Use to make a face pack to soothe acne, mix with green clay and oatmeal, or try making an infusion or decoction of the root powder to add to creams and lotions for the skin.
